Ironwood is a fast-paced, asymmetric tactical game for 1–2 players that combines clever card play, area control, and tactical decision-making. Each round, players alternate playing three faction-specific cards, choosing between action effects or combat values. Actions include moving warbands, engaging in battles, extracting crystals, and activating temporary bonuses. During combat, players secretly select cards to bid for combat advantages, deal or block damage, and strengthen their warbands’ Dominance to claim victory. With simple rules but deep strategy, every decision matters. The game features two completely distinct factions: the industrious Ironclad, who aim to construct forges in the mountains by gathering crystals, and the agile Woodwalkers, forest dwellers who rely on guerrilla tactics and spiritual guidance to reclaim ancient totems. Victory requires constructing three forges as Ironclad or retrieving three totems as Woodwalkers. Ironwood also includes a streamlined solo mode, letting players challenge an automated faction bot that reflects the unique strategy and personality of its side.
